What documents do I need to import LED lights to Saudi Arabia?

For most LED lighting imports into Saudi Arabia, you need a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and product test reports, plus SABER/SASO 2902 conformity documents for regulated product categories.

1. The baseline shipping documents

Every shipment needs a commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading. Beyond these, ask your supplier for standard product test reports (electrical and optical parameters). These are not optional paperwork — customs and downstream buyers will ask for them.

2. SABER / SASO 2902

For lighting products covered by Saudi technical regulations, a SABER certificate of conformity is required. Important: SABER is issued by a qualified certification body, not by the factory itself. We arrange these documents through our qualified partner for engineering and bulk orders, but customs clearance itself is always subject to Saudi local customs review — no supplier can guarantee it.

3. A common mistake

Some buyers assume "SABER-ready" means "guaranteed to clear." It doesn't. The document path and the customs decision are two separate steps — confirm both with your forwarder and your certification partner before ordering.

If you are currently sourcing LED lighting for a Saudi project, we provide standard test reports and arrange SABER documentation via our partner — contact us on WhatsApp for your specific model.
