Can I mix different wattages in one container shipment?
Yes, in most cases — a container can hold several wattages of the same product family, as long as every carton shares the same voltage, plug type and certification scope.
1. What actually has to match
Wattage differences are fine. What cannot differ within one shipment handled as a single conformity scope is the electrical configuration: input voltage and frequency, plug and socket type, and the certification documents covering those models. Mixing 100W and 150W high bays from the same series is routine; mixing an AC 220-277V version with a DC version in one document scope is not.
2. Packing and loading
Mixed wattages change the weight per carton and therefore the stacking plan. Heavier high-wattage units are usually packed at the bottom of the container and lighter ones on top, so the load does not shift in transit. Ask for the packing list to show the split by model — it is also what your forwarder needs for the customs declaration.
3. A common mistake
Filling a container to the door with a wide spread of models looks like a better deal, but each additional model in a distinct certification scope adds document work and can hold up release. If you want variety, it is cheaper to run a small mixed trial shipment first and confirm how the documents line up.
